Then $0.20 for each minute of coverage.

  • The meter only runs on calls actually handled: from the receptionist's first word to the end of the call. A call it never answered costs nothing.
  • The rate is the same at 2 p.m. and 2 a.m. No per-call fee, no night, weekend or holiday surcharge.
  • No setup fee, no per-seat fee for staff and no annual contract.
  • On the nights-and-weekends plan, minutes answered inside your open hours are billed at the same rate and shown on their own line, so you can see where forwarding needs attention.

About the bill.

Is there a setup fee?

No. Onboarding is done with you at no charge: the specialty pack, providers, hours and scheduling rules, your approved answers, the on-call rota, and the forwarded line tested in every live language. Your first statement looks like every other month.

What counts as a provider?

An active provider on your roster in Settings. Nurses, assistants and front-desk staff do not count and have no seat fee.

What is a handled minute?

Time from the receptionist's first word to the end of the call. Ringing, an unanswered call, or a caller who hangs up before the greeting cost nothing.

Can I change plans?

Any time, from Settings. The change applies to the next statement.

Where do I see the bill?

On the Reports screen: providers times the plan fee, handled minutes times the rate, and the total, updated as the month goes.

Should a specialty practice choose AI or a human answering service?

Compare the work completed, the human support available, and the total bill. Callinzo handles approved questions, scheduling, and protocol-based routing. A human service may suit conversations that need a trained operator, and services differ in whether they book appointments or provide clinical triage. Test the same booking, upset caller, and urgent-call scenario with each option. Neither an AI receptionist nor a message-taking service replaces your clinical team.

Which metrics show whether an AI receptionist is helping our practice?

Compare equivalent weeks before and after launch: unanswered calls, completed bookings, reschedules, callback tasks, human transfers, escalation acknowledgements, handled minutes, and cost. Check appointment attendance and staff time separately; a booking is not automatically a completed visit or a saving. Review unsuccessful calls as well as successful ones, and agree what improvement would justify expanding coverage.
