A results question, routed and never read out
A caller wants a biopsy result. The receptionist never reads results; it confirms identity, notes the request and hands it to the ordering clinician as a task with the callback number.
Scripted example from the test suite the receptionist is checked with, using its real lines. The caller, the names and the numbers are invented; the practice is the sample practice.
The call.
- Receptionist
Thanks for calling Cedar Laboratory. I'm the practice's AI assistant. I can book a sample collection, move or confirm an appointment, take a records request, answer questions about the office, or get you to a person. What would you like to do?
- Caller
I had a skin biopsy last week and nobody has called with the result. Can you tell me what it showed?
- Receptionist
I understand you want that answer. I can't read results on the phone, but I can make sure the clinician who ordered it calls you today. Could I have your first and last name?
- Caller
Marcus Bell.
- Receptionist
Thank you, Marcus. And your date of birth?
- Caller
October second, nineteen seventy-five.
- Receptionist
Thanks. Is this the best number for the call back, and is there a time today that is bad?
- Caller
This number. Any time after two is fine.
- Receptionist
I've sent the request to Dr. Feng's team with your number and 'after 2 p.m.'. You'll hear from them today. If it is after 5 and you haven't, call again and ask for a person. Anything else?
- Caller
No, thank you.
- Receptionist
Thank you, Marcus.
